Six Pack of Songs for National Beer Day!
Raise your glass, lift it up, it's time to toast National Beer Day! Unfortunately big wigs who pay me don't consider it a "real holiday" worthy of getting a paid day off. Fortunately, my job is to play music, so I got to sit with some great tunes. Here are my five favorites!
1 - Pop A Top - Alan Jackson
"Pop a top, again.
I think I'll have another round.
Set em' up my friend.
Then I'll be gone and you can let some other fool sit down."
2 - Beer Thirty - Brooks & Dunn
"The party starts here get in line
Beer thirty a honky tonk time"
3 - Cold One - Eric Church
"That was a cold one
I never will get back
Yeah she had to leave, did she have to leave me one beer
Short of a twelve pack?"
4 - Beer Money - Kip Moore
"Tonight, tonight
Baby, we're drinking
Let's wake the town that never stops sleeping
You got the kiss that tastes like honey
And I got a little beer money"
5 - Pretty Good At Drinkin' Beer - Billy Currington
"I'm not the type to work in a bank
I'm no good at slappin on paint
Don't have a knack for makin motors crank, no
But I'm pretty good at drinkin beer"
6 - Beer For My Horses - Toby Keith & Willie Nelson
"When the gun smoke settles we'll sing a victory tune
And we'll all meet back at the local saloon
We'll raise up our glasses against evil forces singing
Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses"
