In 2024, the Illinois Treasury returned nearly $300 million in unclaimed property showing that $260.6 million in cash and $38 million in securities were returned last year. The I-CASH program has returned in total of $2.2 billion since it was started.

How to Claim Your Property

All you need to do is log on to the website, fill in the blanks (first and last name, city, zip code), and within seconds, you will know if you have any unclaimed money. If you do see your name, simply click on the left-hand side that says "claim" and follow the steps.

Simple at that!

Take the time to add all the names you know (family and friends). You just might find that you have unclaimed property that you had no idea you had.
