I’m sure you’re enjoying your beautiful, real Christmas tree this holiday season—but once the glitter and sparkle are gone, what do you do with the tree?

What to Do With Your Christmas Tree After the Holidays

Scouts BSA Troop 1 will be holding their annual Christmas Tree Pick-Up on Saturday, January 3, and Saturday, January 10. For just $10, the scouts will come to your home, pick up your tree, haul it away, and properly dispose of it for you.

How the Scouts Christmas Tree Pickup Works

You can schedule your pickup when you pay through Venmo. All they ask for is your name, address, phone number, and payment sent to @Amanda-Doellman. You can also call or text 573-494-2941 to sign up.

On the day of your scheduled pickup, simply have your tree placed at the curb or outside your house by 8 a.m., and the scouts will take care of the rest.

This was always one of my big questions when deciding between a fake tree or a real one: What do you do with it after the holidays? Well, now I have my answer.

You get to enjoy a beautiful, great-smelling real tree, and the scouts take it off your hands when you’re done. It’s a win-win. I might have to consider going with a real tree next year.
