Fall will be here before you know it. And for me, one of the best parts of autumn in Quincy is driving out to Edgewood Orchards to buy some of their delicious apples and enjoy a cider slushie. And it looks like I won't have to wait that much longer.

According to a Facebook post, Edgewood Orchards will open for the season on September 1 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and they'll have plenty of gala apples and pears available for purchase.

I am personally holding out for their fresh apple pies and honey crisp apples, but I'll definitely be making a trip out there for an apple cider slushie. According to the post, the crops this year look REALLY good. I can't wait to see what else they have in store for this year.

Edgewood Orchards has been around since 1930 and grows, on average, more than a million apples every year.
