How QU Stacks Up Against Illinois Colleges in 2025 Rankings
The ranking website Niche has released their Illinois rankings for colleges and universities. Quincy University scored middle of the pack, but digging into the data shows some interesting things.
Quincy University Main Campus
Straight away, Niche graded Quincy University at a C+. That’s the same grade that Benedictine in Lisle, Monmouth College, Eureka College and Greenville University. That C+ is a better grade than the Art Institute of Chicago and Columbia College in Chicago to name a couple.

Looking deeper into the data I found that Quincy University is more exclusive than most other universities and colleges that have higher overall Niche grades. The acceptance rate at QU is just 50%. That’s far more exclusive than every university in the state except for Northwestern, University of Chicago, U of I Champaign, Illinois Wesleyan, Chicago St. and DeVry.

Costs are middle of the pack for QU in state, as Niche has the net cost to attend at $17,424. Many of the state schools cost less, but are less exclusive and have lower academic hurdles to gain entry. Bottom line, if Quincy University has an area of study that you are wanting to build a future on, it continues to be a solid choice for post-secondary education.
