This Local Sports Event in Quincy Illinois is a Must Attend
It’s always fun to play a high school rival. A regular game takes on extra meaning and energy. In Quincy, Illinois the crosstown showdown is very much a thing, and that’s a good thing.
Blue Devils vs Raiders is good fun
At Quincy High basketball has been at the head of the table for a long time, but under head coach Rick Little the gridiron Devils have become locally dominant. The annual contests between Quincy High and Quincy Notre Dame in football and basketball are always feature events and get lots of attention. This local duel on the football field though has been paused for the foreseeable future.

While football and basketball pay the bills, these two schools play each other in many other sports. All of them extra fun as the players all know each other and have in most cases played on teams with each other previously at younger levels. This brings an extra level of familiarity to the events, whether it’s volleyball, baseball, softball or soccer.
