The investigation continues into an early Friday morning shooting in Quincy.

Quincy Police were called to an alley between 5th and 6th at York and Kentucky just before 7 a.m. Friday on a report of an injured man in the alley.

Officers and first responders found 25 year old Jamar Washington in the alley with a small caliber bullet wound to the head.

Residents told officers they heard a commotion about 3:30 a.m. Friday but did not report it.

An investigation into a series of burglaries in Hancock County leads to the arrest of two Fort Madison, Iowa men Saturday.

Hancock County Sheriff Travis Duffy reports his office got numerous reports of burglarized vehicles and garages in Niota.

The investigation led to the arrests 18 year old Jakob Corral and Elie Ahlen, both of Fort Madison.

Deputies found the two were in possession of several of the stolen items. Most of the items were then found in two locations in the Niota area.

Ahlen and Corral are in the Hancock County Jail on multiple counts of burglary.
They are awaiting an initial court appearance where bond will be set.
