The City of Quincy will be moving all of their Council and Committee meetings online, here are the details...

With the spread of COVID-19 cases in Adams County growing the City of Quincy is taking advice from the Adams County Health Department and moving their meetings online.

On the City of Quincy's website they made the announcement yesterday saying...

"Based on the advice of the Adams County Health Department, the City of Quincy will allow Council members and committee members to attend meetings online. All meetings will be closed to the public, but available online...City facilities will remain open for the time being, but facilities may close if the disease burden continues to increase in our community. I can't say I'm shocked by this move, it seems to me like it makes sense for our elected officials to be taking the advice of the health experts in Adams County, and setting an example. We need to do everything within our power to stop the spread of this virus in Adams County so we can get kids back in school later this month. But also we cant afford to go backwards as a community, our small and local businesses need our support and the only way we can keep them open and running at the capacity they are now is to continue to stop the spread of the virus in our community.
