Planning a Staycation for Vacation in Hannibal / Quincy

Earlier this week I put in my request for vacation, which will be coming up at the end of October. It's been a couple years since I actually went on vacation, so I'm looking forward to some time off. However, I'm probably not going to be able to actually go anywhere for vacation, unless it's fairly close. I could probably swing a day trip or two.

I've been thinking about some of the things that I've always wanted to do, but for whatever reason haven't. For instance, I've never been to a Mizzou football game, even though I enjoy college football. I've also never been through the historical sites in Nauvoo. Every year - twice a year - I say to myself that I'm going to go down the 50 Miles of Art and take studio tours. Guess what I always somehow miss, twice a year? I've also wanted to try out disc golf, and I could do that in both Quincy, and in Hannibal, so maybe I'll give that a shot.

Do you have any great ideas on day trips? Are there any sites or activities that your family enjoys that you would recommend?

Whatever I decide on, I'm sure my new camera will somehow be involved.
