Once and For All – What’s Hannibal’s Best Restaurant?

There have been many burning questions through the ages - why do we park in a driveway and drive on a parkway, why are there interstate highways in Hawaii, why is abbreviation such a long word - you know, important stuff.

But, all those questions pale in comparison to the one that has plagued natives and visitors alike - what is the best restaurant in Hannibal?

So, to settle the discussion (or perhaps add fuel to the fire), we went to three different websites that profess to know about these kinds of things - Yelp, TripAdvisor and Restaurantji.com - and searched for "Top 10 Restaurants in Hannibal."

There were 16 different establishments that made at least one of the top ten's. There were four that made all three lists.

LaBinnah Bistro

A reviewer on Yelp said, "Very nice place. Great atmosphere, friendly. Service was great. Even with being busy our food still came out quickly. Definitely would stop again."

Fiddlestiks

A Trip Advisor reviewer said, "I had the salmon salad and my husband had the Greek salad with chicken. Both were delicious. Portions were generous and a lunch size was available in the evening as well. The place was much larger than it looked from the road. Would go back often if we lived nearby."

Mark Twain Brewing Company

Yelp: "We were on a road trip and stopped in Hannibal for lunch. Thanks so much for welcoming us and being so dog friendly! The food, service and drinks were great!!"

Becky Thatcher's Diner

Trip Advisor: "Let me say that this was what I remember eating in a good, hometown diner was like many years ago. The service was fast and friendly, the coffee was kept filled, and the food was fantastic!!"

Five others were on two of the three lists

The Brick Oven - "We tried Romano pizza and Sicilian spaghetti. Ohh boy, the best Italian taste to my palate for the time immemorial.  The pizza had freshest taste of Romano sauce, capers, asiago, and cheese."

Big Muddy BBQ - "Amazing BBQ, we come here every time we are in town, tons of food for the money, rock and roll playing and the chef does a mean Robert Plant."

Wayne BBQ - "The Brisket Platter (even the end bits) = soft and moist with a really NICE smoke flavor.  Platters come with two sides - we got baked potato and bbq beans.  The Pork Mac (pulled pork piled on homemade mac & cheese was just delectable (also came with a side - got green beans)."

Logue's - "The service and food provided was outstanding. They serve homemade food. The waitstaff never let our drinks run dry. You will not be disappointed with this restaurant."

Jet's Palace - "Best Chinese food ever!!! Every dish is delicious. Crab Rangoon and beef and broccoli are my favorites. Also, best customer service. Everyone is so nice and welcoming."
