
New London Park Days, Relay for Life, Music Showcase and More This Weekend
To say there's plenty to do around the area this weekend is the understatement of the day.
New London Park Days gets underway midday Friday, with a full day of activities planned for Saturday, including the Food, Wine, Craft Beers and Music Festival from 3-6 p.m. Saturday.
The 19th annual Marion County Relay for Life kicks off Friday evening at Flower City Park in Palmyra, running from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
The rescheduled Movies in the Park is 9 p.m. Friday at Huckleberry Park in Hannibal, preceded by a demonstration by the Marion County 4-H Robot Team.
The Hannibal Arts Council's First Friday Art Adventure, featuring "UPCYCLE: Found Art Sculpture," runs from 4-6 p.m. Friday at the HAC offices.
There's a Red Cross Blood Drive at Christ Lutheran Church in Quincy from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Hannibal Parks & Recreation and Parents as Teachers put on the first Big Dirt Dig from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center.
The Marion County Services for the Developmentally Disabled's 3rd annual Smile-A-Mile Buddy Walk steps off at 9 a.m. Saturday at Nipper Park in Hannibal.
The Past Master's annual Strawberry and Ice Cream Social runs from noon to 7 p.m. at the Masonic Hall in Canton.
The Hannibal Jaycees 3rd annual Epic Music Showcase starts at 6 p.m. Saturday at Tanyard Gardens.
On Sunday, it's Bike Sunday at Riverview Nazarene Church, with a bike show, morning worship, a meal, a biker blessing and an evening service.
There's a Fishing for Freedom Hannibal weigh-in at Nipper Park at 11 a.m. Sunday.
The Hannibal Arts Council presents Flamenco guitarist Ronald Radford at the Arts Council at 2 p.m. Sunday.
And, Bluff Hall Men's Fellowship's annual Ice Cream Social and Country Store starts at the hall in rural Payson at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
