Hannibal Arts Council Exhibit Has New Stuff, Sunsets and More
Yet another sure sign of spring is coming this weekend - the first exhibit of the new year at the Hannibal Arts Council.
And, as is usually the case at HAC, this exhibit is actually four exhibits in one.
First, there's what they're calling A Curious Collection, an invitational exhibit featuring David Awbrey, Melissa Dominiak, Kathy Hyer, Steve Jones and Steve Ryan, with paintings, mixed-media, sculpture and pottery.
The open exhibit portion of the show is called What's New Pussycat?, with area artists' most recent work on display.
There will be two Photography Channel exhibits on the big screen TV. One featuring digital images of sunrises and sunsets, the other spotlighting the work of 13 year old photographer Jake Pendergrass of Hannibal.
Opening night for this first exhibit of 2022 is 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, with an artist talk at 6 p.m.
The exhibit runs through March 26 at the Arts Council at 105 South Main.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Wednesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
These exhibits are sponsored by Commerce Bank, Dubach Inn Bed and Breakfast and P&D Electric, with additional funding from the Missouri Arts Council.
