Only 2 Missouri Cities Rank Most Caring in the Nation
Out of the top 100 cities looked at for most caring there are only two in Missouri that make the list and both are low on the list.
It's hard to look at what "most caring" means, but these experts from WalletHub have found a way to determine what it means to be "most caring." They looked at the 100 largest cities across 38 key factors of a compassionate spirit, like caring for the community, caring for the vulnerable, and caring in the workforce.
Results
From all of that, WalletHub determined that St. Louis ranks 68 and Kansas City ranks 77 on the top 100 list. Not great for the Show-Me State. St. Louis ranks extremely low in caring for the community at 98, but high in caring for the vulnerable and in the workforce at 32 and 33 respectively.
Kansas City ranks a little higher in caring for the community and caring for the vulnerable both ranking 81 and somewhat high for caring in the workforce at 34. The most caring city is Madison, Wisconsin and the second is Boston. Americans donated a lot of money in 2022. According to WalletHub,
Americans donated nearly $500 billion in 2022, which sounds like a lot, but when you factor in the cost of inflation, it equates to a 3.4% decline in donations compared to 2021. Even if you can’t afford to give away your income – especially during the challenging conditions of the current economy.
