Food Network Reveals Missouri’s Most Iconic Dish
When it comes to picking an iconic dish in each state, I can imagine that it's a tough decision. However, let the Food Network experts choose for us.
Is it St. Louis BBQ? No. Is it Imo's Pizza? No. It's (in my opinion) not even a dish but considered an appetizer more than anything. If you said Toasted Ravioli, then gold star for you today. However, this particular toasted ravioli dish has a bit of a twist.
if you've even had toasted ravioli then you know that it's fried with a beef filling, however, the toasted ravioli that you get at Salt + Smoke is filled with chopped oak-smoked burnet ends topped with a sprinkle of garlic. They take the iconic dish and put some St. Louis-style BBQ with it.

I've never been to Salt + Smoke but I hear nothing but amazing reviews from my friends who have. Toasted Rav is a staple in our house and everything I have someone not from the area try it they are hesitant at first, then they try it and soon fall in love with the fried iconic dish. Now, I just need to go and try Salt + Smokes twist on the iconic dish to see what all the hype is all about.
