Did Missouri Just Lose 200,000 voters?
Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins has said that cleaning up the voter rolls in the Show-me state is important. So far this year 200,000 names have been removed in state.

Neglect of who is currently allowed to vote in local, regional and state elections can lead to opportunities for voting fraud. Plus, with bloated voter rolls it makes it harder to wade through everything to verify whether someone has cast an illegal ballot or not.

Hoskins stated that 18,000 deceased voters were removed, along with 2,000 felons who aren’t allowed to vote. Those two numbers together only account for ten percent of the total though. 200,000 is almost the population of the city of St. Louis (279,000+).

Turns out that many of the names that were removed were from people who moved out of state and just thought their voting status would expire in Missouri…(???). That’s not how it works. When you move out of state and register to vote in your new location, you need to make sure that the state you left has taken you off the voting list. Ask about it when you do register to vote in your new state. Or even new area of the same state you may move to, just to make sure there isn’t a duplication in state. Personal responsibility is still in play. This begs the question. How big would the removal number be if Illinois cleaned up its voter rolls?
