If you're planning on taking a trip anytime soon at a MIssouri airport you might want to make sure that these items are not with you.

As travel season gears up with spring break and vacations, TSA agents at Missouri airports want to remind you what is NOT approved for your checked bag. Recently, MSN put together a list of items that you should keep in your carry-on bag when traveling.

Lithium Batteries

Power batteries are good for your phone, but not allowed on places. According to MSN,

the FAA does not allow passengers to check in devices with lithium batteries on passenger flights.

Spare batteries can be dangerous and could catch fire if not placed in the proper storage area, and so these are forbidden on planes.

Cellphones and Tablets

Although smaller, lithium batteries in phones can be just as dangerous in cell phones and tablets. Phones and tablets are probably the most popular items; it's not that you can bring them on the plane with you, it's just you might want to not have it in your checked bag to make sure that it's stored safely on you.

If you are planning on bringing your laptop, make sure you carry it on the plane with you even if you're not planning on using it. Most agents will not let you put a laptop in a checked bag again because of the lithium battery and the chance for it to catch fire in the bottom of the plane.

These are a blessing when trying to keep kids busy on a plane and will also need to be added to the carry-on list if you plan on bringing it with you. Many are now powered with a lithium battery, and the reason (like the others) these should not be placed in a checked bag.

Electronic Cigarettes

Smoking in general is not allowed on flights, so another reason why you can't check e-cigarettes on a flight. You can have it with you, but again you have to have it in your bag on the phone and not your checked bag.
