Missouri’s Highest Paying Job? Not As High As You Would Think
Money doesn't go as far as it used to in these days, we are all trying to make it on what we make. You would think that high-paying jobs in Missouri would be (in my opinion) anything over 300,000 and even 400,000 but that is not the case in a new list.
When I travel to St. Louis or even Kansas City I am amazed at the site of brand new homes just built or being built. I mean these things are massive. Plus, you have all the electric cars and ginormous family cars and I just think how in the heck are they paying for that, because a new list out by Zippia doesn't put Missouri in a good light for making any money?
Highest Paying Job in Missouri
To my surprise the highest paying job in Missouri, according to Zippia, is a Fiance Services Director. Okay, so they have to make big money right? I mean the profession came in at number one for the highest salary, well this particular profession only makes $227,324.

What shocked me the most is that doctor, lawyer, or any sort of CEO/CFO profession is not even in the top 5. Chief Medical Officer does make the list at three with an income of $211,560 and a medical director makes just a little over $200,000.
It's really hard for me to even think that a doctor or lawyer is not in the top 10 seems a little unreal to me. The data used to make this list came from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Foreign Labor Certification Data Center, and Office of Personnel Management among others, so I would think the information is accurate.
