Starting in June you will be paying more on select items at Missouri Dollar Tree Stores.

Price hikes are striking again at Dollar Stores where they just announced another price increase that will take place starting in June.

According to Yahoo! Finance, not all items will increase just a a few, but with families that are trying to stay on a tight budget those could effect them.

Higher Prices for Dollar Tree

What happened to the days when you could pay $1.00 or items? Well, those days are far few and in-between in today's market. In recent years prices went up to $1.25 which wasn't too awful and then again to $3.00.

However, now this will be the biggest hike in the franchise's history. Food, snacks, beverages, pet care, personal care, and more will see an increase up to $7.00.

This is not great news for Dollar Tree. They have already announced the closures of 1,000 stores and now they are increasing prices to help keep other stores open.

Several discount stores seems to be raising prices. Five Below, Aldi's, and not Dollar Tree have seen price increase in the last few years.
