Surprise. I am not a fan of Prime Rib. It just doesn't look good at all, but many of you love to get a good piece of Prime Rib, and this Missouri Restaurant is the place to do that.

It just doesn’t look appetizing to me. There’s something about the fat around the edges that I just can’t get past. But I know many of you love a juicy, flavorful cut of prime rib, and if that’s your thing, this Missouri restaurant is where you’ll want to go.

The Best Restaurant for Prime Rib in Missouri

When I’m at a restaurant and see prime rib on the menu, I skip right over it. My brain says, “nope,” and I move on. But if you’re a true prime rib connoisseur, then you need to check this place out.

Cheapism recently released a list of the best spots in every state to get prime rib, and Missouri’s top pick is…

Michael Forbes Bar & Grille

Located in Kansas City, this local favorite is especially known for its smoked prime rib, served only on Fridays and Saturdays. They pair it with mashed or au gratin potatoes and fresh vegetables, basically, the full comfort food experience.

Honestly, it sounds amazing. I just can’t get my brain and my stomach to agree on it.

That said, Michael Forbes Bar & Grille has plenty of other menu options, so don’t feel like you have to order the prime rib. But if I ever find myself there and someone at my table orders it… I’ll probably sneak a bite. Just don’t expect me to order it for myself.
