Missouri Among Top States for Powerball Winners

I barely win anything when I play the lottery or get a scratch-off ticket. In fact, if I win a free ticket, I feel lucky. However, for those who play often, there's good news.

Missouri Ranks 2nd in Powerball Winners

Missouri ranks high among states for having the most Powerball winners in the nation. According to Fox Business, Missouri ranks second, just behind Indiana, for having the most Powerball winners.

Between April 1992 and April 2024, Missouri clocked in at 1,046 wins, 31 of which landed someone the grand prize, according to GambleSpot.

After Missouri, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Arizona, Louisiana, Florida, and Connecticut round out the top 10.

Florida and Wisconsin are two states that have been home to winners who have won two of the largest jackpots in the country.

So, if you're feeling lucky you might want to head over the bridge (if you live in Illinois) and visit a local gas station or grocery store. You never know that the ticket you but could be the BIG jackpot winner.
