In a letter to parents Wednesday, Superintendent John French announced the all students would switch to distance learning for at least the next two weeks.

French said the growing number of staff members who have tested positive, are in isolation or are quarantined due to close contact with positive has reduced available staff to the point that in-person learning is not possible at this time.

French said the district will return to delivering meals to students via bus routes starting Thursday, with all meals free to any Lewis County C-1 student 18 or under.
