Illinois Kids Ready to Race Power Wheels for Halloween
The Eve of Haunted Destruction revs up in Illinois on Saturday October 25th in Joliet at the Route 66 Dirt Oval Raceway. It's not help in a parking lot, not indoors, but on a dirt oval raceway like larger races. Except these will be kids in Power Wheels vehicles.

Power Wheels racing keeps growing, and is definitely a way to get a racing enthusiast kid a taste of what competitive racing actually is, compared to what they see on TV or online, or beyond their imagination.
Little kids racing toy vehicles isn't a new concept
The Eve of Haunted Destruction Event is unique as it features an Extreme Trailer Race, an RV Demo Derby, School Bus Racing, A Lawn Mower Demo Derby, and the Kids Power Wheels Racing. All events that might seem fringe for regular racing fans, but in October when the odd or different emerge, this event seems right on time.
Eve of Destruction also includes School Bus Racing
Kids aged 3 - 10 will have three divisions to race in. Racers must wear helmets. Batteries max at 24 volts, and don’t have to be stock, but battery modifications like a power tool battery or lawn mower battery may not be placed in the passenger seat, and must be secured and sealed safely away from the child/driver. No modifications to impede or impair other competing vehicles (like cars with weapons in "Speed Racer") are allowed. Doors and tailgates have to be sealed/strapped shut, and there may be no more than two passengers per vehicle.

Halloween décor is encouraged, as there will be a special “Best Decorated” winner for each age group. So whether you jazz up a Barbie jeep, American muscle car, or Euro Sedan, give it a Halloween makeover and let it rip!
