For months now since the coronavirus started sweeping across the United States, so many of us (myself included) have said things like "well I can't wait for 2021 when we can go back to normal" well it appears as though things may not be totally normal in 2021...

According to fox4kc.com the Kansas City Royals have canceled their Fan Fest 2021 due to concerns over the coronavirus. The event that was scheduled to take place in late January of 2021, in Kansas City at the Kansas City Convention Center has been canceled and dates for the 2022 Fan Fest have been announced. In the article from fox4kc.com the report that the Royals said...

"The Club determined that staging an in-person Royals FanFest the way the fans have enjoyed over the years would not be possible this coming January"

To be honest not much has shocked me since mid March, everything for the most part across the United States as far as large gatherings have been canceled. But to see an event scheduled to take place in 2021 getting canceled and not just postponed to a later date in 2021 is pretty shocking. What are your thoughts on this cancellation? Are you worried about an event you've been looking forward to in 2021 being canceled early due to COVID-19 concerns? I wasn't concerned about that at all until I saw this news.
