KC Chiefs Frank Clark Creates Scholarship for Teen Killed on Ride
A few weeks ago, a Missouri teen was tragically killed on a ride in a Florida amusement park. Kansas City Chiefs Frank Clark has decided to make sure he's forever remembered.
14-year-old Tyre Sampson fell to his death a few weeks ago from a ride in Icon Park in Orlando as Fox News reported. He was over 100 pounds over the weight limit of the ride and wasn't properly restrained according to reports. Tyre's sad story has taken a hopeful turn. Fox 4 out of Kansas City has shared the news that Frank Clark of the Kansas City Chiefs has created a scholarship in his name. They say that "Clark’s foundation will award a $2,500 scholarship to two college freshmen for the 2022-2023 school year." Nice.
According to the Fox 4 Kansas City story, Frank Clark became aware of Tyre's activity and passion for sports like football and basketball and reached out to his mother about the possibility of finding a way to memorialize him. This scholarship for two athletes will accomplish that.
Always encouraging when an athlete like Frank Clark who is ranked as one of the top 100 in the NFL uses his platform to help others less fortunate.
