K of C BBQ & the Area’s Largest Carnival is Back this Weekend
We have been waiting two years for the biggest party in Quincy to return, but the wait is finally over, the Knights of Columbus BBQ is finally back!
When I moved to Quincy to work at KICK-FM two and a half years ago from Chicago, there were a couple things people told me about this area right away, they said get a Maid Rite, go to a Gems Game, Twain on Main is brilliant, and K of C BBQ is the best party all year long. I had a blast at my first ever K of C BBQ in 2019, and with COVID-19 canceling last years event, I'm sure the 2021 version of K of C BBQ will be bigger and better than before.
According to the post on the Knights of Columbus's Facebook Page, the K of C BBQ is scheduled for this weekend August 13th-15th. Visitors to the K of C BBQ can expect the largest carnival in the area, with the fun starting at 5pm on Friday, and Saturday ending at midnight, and Sunday from noon until 7pm. They go on to say that there will be live music Friday and Saturday night, a Sunday baby contest, games for all ages, a 50/50 raffle on Saturday night, FREE entry and parking as well as a free shuttle service from Flynn stadium on Friday and Saturday, and of course incredible food and beverage options!
K of C BBQ is held at the Knights of Columbus in Quincy on 36th street just south of State street, and I will be out broadcasting with KICK-FM on Saturday from 4pm to 6pm, and our sister station 100.9 The Eagle and Doc Holliday broadcasting on Friday night from 5pm to 7pm, come out stop by and say hi!
