New Photo Shows Stunning ‘Airglow’ Over Missouri from the ISS
There's a brand new photo from NASA that shows Missouri in a way that is quite literally impossible to see from where you are. It's what is known as 'airglow' and it's visible in an incredible photo share from the International Space Station.
I saw this photo shared on the Missouri sub-Reddit. It's a photo from NASA that according to their official share was taken November 10, 2023 from the International Space Station as it cruised over Missouri. It's a stunner.
The closest you can get to experiencing 'airglow' over Missouri was captured by the YouTube channel Missouri Skies which showed the phenomenon from a backyard camera.

Earth's airglow outlines the planet's horizon with the Moon above in this photograph from the International Space Station as it orbited 260 miles above the midwestern United States.
It's such a beautiful moment of how our part of America looks from space with the natural light from the galaxy shining above us. Crazy cool I think.
