According to a new ranking just shared today by Cheapism, this is the local Missouri BBQ place that deserves more recognition than it gets. This is LC’s Bar-B-Q located at 5800 Blue Parkway in Kansas City, Missouri. This is a BBQ place that was born in Missouri 40 years ago in 1986 according to their website. It also says they were voted the best burnt ends in Kansas City which is quite an accomplishment when you consider how many world-famous BBQ places are in KC.

The secret behind LC's BBQ is the fact that their meat is cooked over a live wood-fired pit. That's why their burnt ends really are...well, burnt (in a good way). They received this national shoutout because its "the sort of place where the food matters more than the decor" and that's a great concept when the focus needs to be on the taste of the BBQ and not just the pizazz of the surroundings of where you eat it. I love it when small mom and pop places like this gets recognition when it normally doesn't.
