If you're like me and your license plate sticker expires this month, here is what you need to know...

One of the many frustrations that the coronavirus crisis has caused Americans across the country is the shut down of Government buildings, and services. My sister for example has been stuck in Chicagoland with my parents unable to get back to her home in the UK until certain passport services open back up. Well for me and many other citizens of Illinois you maybe wondering what to do if your license or plate stickers (like mine) expire during this crisis. Well according to abc7chicago.com the best option for Illinois drivers is to go online to www.cyberdriveillinois.com that is the best way for you to renew your license or sticker online.

Now on cyberdriveillinois.com the state of Illinois does say you have a 90 grace period during this coronavirus crisis to get your license and stickers renewed. Now this wont work for everyone however because according to wttw.com they say...

"...certain drivers over age 75 and those without safe driving records may need to take a road exam...They’ll have to wait until facilities reopen. So, too, will young drivers. Wisconsin is going to waive road driving tests for those under 18, but Illinois is not considering it..."

If you have any more questions about cost of renewals and what to do as an Illinois driver for renewals of license's and plate stickers I recommend checking out cyberdriveillinois.com by clicking here, they have a lot of resources and a very helpful FAQs page to answer questions you may have. And as always be safe on the roads, and don't text and drive!
