If you want the Best Seafood in Missouri head to this Tiny Town
You may think if you want top-notch seafood in Missouri you need to head to a big city like St. Louis or Kansas City, but no, the best seafood restaurant in the whole state is in a village of 431 people.
Sunrise Beach, Missouri, ever heard of it? Probably not, but that's ok because according to Wikipedia it is a village with a population of only 431 people. But, it is home to the Best Seafood in the Show-Me State according to the Missouri's Best 2022 Awards.
The restaurant that won the award is called ShrimpDaddy's, and on their Facebook page they say...
"ShrimpDaddy's is a Cajun restaurant at Lake of the Ozarks. We specialize in Louisiana Gulf shrimp"
I found the menu for ShrimpDaddy's on Yelp and let us just say...it looks amazing. Some of the highlights on the menu include the Saltwater Catfish Dinner, the Grilled Shrimp & Pasta Dinner, and their appetizer called Sea Hawgs which are shrimp filled with a dash of horseradish, wrapped in bacon, served with sour cream/dill sauce. To be completely honest, I am not a giant seafood fan, BUT that being said.. I would 1000% eat some seafood from ShrimpDaddy's. It has all the makings of a great seafood restaurant, it is on the beaches of the Lake of the Ozarks, and has the small town vibes. The only thing that would be a negative about going is trying to figure out what to order...
