First of all, free food. That's out of the way. Second of all, free food FOR a good cause! I know you're paying extra close attention now, right?

Good. Here's the deal. November is National Adoption Month. To bring awareness to and raise money for adoption efforts throughout the country, and right here in Illinois, Wendy's is hosting an Adoption Night next Tuesday, November 14th during dinner time. Fifteen percent of all restaurant sales that night will go toward the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, and toward foster care efforts. Wendy's founder Dave Thomas, who was adopted, started the foundation because he believed that foster children are our responsibility.

I know, I know, I haven't hit the "free food" part as I promised. Well, here's where it gets good. The following week, on Monday, November 20th, Wendy's is launching its annual "National Frosty Key Tag Program." While supplies last, you can purchase a frosty key tag for just two bucks, which gets you that free Junior Frosty with every purchase for one full year. Eighty-five cents from every sale of the tag will also go to adoption and foster care programs.

So you've got two nights to help out the 2854 children in Illinois alone waiting for adoption, and you get free frosties for a year! How cool is that?
