Lewis County C-1 School District officials say Highland will be closed Friday as the district works through contact tracing of additional students and staff who will need to be quarantined.

It was announced earlier Thursday that a Highland student testing positive for coronavirus had resulted in 46 students and six staff members being quarantined.

Although Highland schools are closed, students can still interact with teachers and be involved in distance learning.

More information will be forthcoming on how long distance learning will continue at Highland.
