Looks like FOX is holding off on debuting too many new shows until football season is over. Most of their shows will debut mid-season. And with the recent merger, it will be interesting to see what FOX does in developing new shows.

On Mondays, we'll see the return of The Resident and 9-1-1 (the latter will be getting a two-night return). Jennifer Love-Hewitt will be the main 9-1-1 operator this season as Connie Britton left at the end of Season 1 to join the cast (once again) of American Horror Story: Apocalypse.

On Tuesdays, the X-Men-esque show The Gifted returns for season two along with a re-vamped Lethal Weapon. One time star Clayne Crawford, who was fired due to continued outbursts and feuds with cast members, will be replaced with Sean William Scott this season.

Wednesday is all about music with the return of Empire and Star. Football takes over on Thursdays and Friday we get the much anticipated return of Last Man Standing starring Tim Allen. Since the show was canceled on ABC a few years ago, Allen has been trying to find a network to pick up the show which found a new home on FOX.
