Here is more Proof the NFL could Comeback to St. Louis
If you are one of the many people in the St. Louis area who are still frustrated the Rams left and want your own NFL team, then check out this good news! I believe the NFL will have to consider this news when deciding whether or not to come back to St. Louis.
The third time is the charm for the XFL, at least that is what Dwayne The Rock Johnson is hoping for. The ratings are in for last weekend's XFL return and it spells good news for people in the St. Louis area who want to see the NFL return to the city.
According to KSDK.com, the St. Louis Battlehawks game vs the San Antonio Brahmas, had the highest rating of any of the games this past weekend. On their site they said...
"The game peaked at 2.3 million viewers during its broadcast and on average saw 1.6 million viewers, according to ESPN. The next closest game in viewership was the Vegas Vipers at Arlington Renegades with 1.5 million viewers, it was the first game in the XFL's opening weekend lineup. Online, the Battlehawks took Twitter by storm with AJ McCarron and #KaKaw trending in the top 10 nationally, according to the XFL. #XFL2023 also trended as No. 1 nationally on Saturday."
How is this good news for NFL hopefuls in St. Louis? You know the NFL is watching the XFL closely, and you can bet that the NFL was very interested in seeing the ratings for the first weekend of the XFL. St. Louis and San Antonio are two American cities that are perfect, and ready for NFL expansion, whenever that might come. If the Battlehawks can continue to be the biggest viewership draw, and lead the league in attendance, I think that will go a long way in NFL circles. When they considered whether or not an NFL team should be in St. Louis you'd much rather that data of support for your XFL team be overwhelmingly positive than negative.
So if you want the NFL back in St. Louis then you better keep supporting the Battlehawks hard, and who knows...maybe the NFL will just adopt the Battlehawks one day.
