There are tons of great restaurants hidden in small and large towns all over the United States, and we are lucky to have a bunch of those located here in the Tri-State area. But one local restaurant actually made the list of the 10 Secret Restaurants in Missouri.

The list was created by the website onlyinyourstate.com and they compiled what they believe are the 10 Secret Restaurants in Missouri that are "Well Worth Finding" and a local favorite The Rebel Pig in Palmyra made the list! The Rebel Pig ranked 3rd on their list behind only Willow Springs Mercantile in Excelsior Springs, and Il Lazzarone in St. Joseph. On the site they say this about The Rebel Pig...

"In the tiny town of Palmyra is a great little barbecue joint, The Rebel Pig. Their smoker is always parked out front and on most nights you'll find a full dining room...Locals love the pulled pork horseshoe and the pulled pork nachos but honestly everything on the menu will tantalize your taste buds. Now I may be biased because I love The Rebel Pig but it absolutely deserves this spot on this list! I tell people all the time that you just need to roll down your windows when you get to Palmyra and the scent of BBQ will lead you to The Rebel Pig.
