Hannibal firefighters were called to the Park Terrace Apartments in the 1400 block of 30th Street just before 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Crews arrived to find heavy flames and smoke coming from the 12-unit building.

All 17 residents of the complex got out safely.

Fire officials said all 12 units were impacted by the blaze, with four suffering heavy damage.

The Red Cross and Salvation Army were called in to help find shelter for those displaced by the fire.

Investigators from the state Fire Marshal’s office have been called in to determine the exact cause of the fire.
