Hannibal Clinic Health Services is holding the annual Ride Cool helmet safety event, Saturday, June 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of the Hannibal Clinic. The event is completely free of charge to attend. The first 200 children will receive a free bicycle helmet and t-shirt.

The event will also show how to wear a helmet the correct way, and fit children with the correct size helmet they need. There will be an egg drop demonstration, bicycle inspections to make sure everything is all set for summer riding, prizes, and food available for purchase from the Rebel Pib.

With school out, this is a perfect time to get your kids ready to be safe this summer when out and about riding their bikes, rollerblades, skates, and scooters. This event helps to promote safety when riding bikes and is also a reminder for parents to encourage their children to wear helmets.
