An employee of the Hannibal Aquatic Center has tested positive for the coronavirus.

In a press release from the Parks and Recreation Department, officials say the employee is safely isolating at home.

The employee worked at the Aquatic Center June 27th and July 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

As a result, employees of the Aquatic Center who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 will be required to wear masks when working indoors.

Additionally, swim lessons that had been scheduled to begin Monday, July 12th have been postponed until July 19th.

Anyone signed up for lessons who is not able to make the rescheduled date will be able to get a refund.

Hannibal Parks and Recreation asks the public to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention COVID guidelines, and to please stay home if you feel sick or have symptoms.
