Believe it or not there are still over one million Americans out there who haven’t collected their individual $1400 stimulus check from the federal government.

If you didn’t receive a COVID-19 stimulus check (or more than one) you are eligible. The IRS began issuing payment to those eligible back in December 2024 called the Recovery rebate Credit.

There is a quickly approaching deadline to make a claim. April 15, yes Income Tax Day is the cutoff.

It’s okay if you don’t remember whether or not you received one of these stimulus checks. You can check your 2021 tax return to see if you had that line checked. Of course, you could always go straight to the source at the Internal Revenue Service and ask directly.

This could potentially include you, a spouse if you are married and even a dependent that lives with you at $1400 per person. Might be worth a check to see if you never collected it previously. Time is running out.
