Christmas Market CANCELLED
The Oakley Lindsay Center is officially CANCELLING the Quincy Craft & Christmas Market.
With COVID-19 numbers skyrocketing across Adams County, the Adams County Health Department has requested the cancellation of the Quincy Craft and Christmas Market at the Oakley Lindsay Center this weekend, and they have agreed.
On the Oakley Lindsay Center's Facebook page they posted saying...
"Unfortunately, we have to cancel the Quincy Craft & Christmas Market due to the Adams County Health Department requesting that we cancel. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We feel it is in the best interest of our attendees and employees that we cancel this event so that we can help keep the increasing numbers of COVID cases down. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Oakley Lindsay Center at 217-223-1000."
Obviously this isn't necessarily shocking to any of us these days, we have seen so many events scheduled to happen across the Tri-States this year be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But that being said it is still a lot to cancel an event the week of so please reach out to the Oakley Lindsay Center with questions. The most important thing we can do is continue to stay healthy and get these numbers going down so that businesses and events can be open, and happing to their full capacity. The local economy depends on events and bringing people to the Tri-States to spend money, that is increasingly hard to do with the COVID-19 numbers continuing to rise.
