Bugs Bunny On A Package Of Strawberries?
While shopping one day I noticed something strange in the produce section: Bugs Bunny's image prominently displayed on a package of strawberries.
I grew up watching cartoons where Bugs Bunny would continually munch on a carrot. How many of us believed that this was the norm - rabbits only ate carrots?
Wrong.
According to the Humane Society of the United States, rabbits are nuts about fruit! But fruit (and carrots) should only be used as a treat, and not as a meal. A typical diet for rabbits is actually hay and green leafy things, according to the Cracked Web page 5 Ridiculous Animal Myths That You Probably Believe.
The original intention of this story was because I thought it was weird to see a picture of Bugs Bunny on something other than a bag of carrots.
I stand corrected.
