You may have seen it already, but some local stores are starting to gear up for back to school shopping. This year I will be buying school supplies for two kids, so I'll be trying to save as much money as I can. One of the ways you can save money is by taking advantage of the upcoming Tax Free Weekend next month.

Missouri and Iowa will be having their Tax Free Weekend August 3-5. Clothing, school supplies, computers, and other items will all be honored. This always helps me save quite a bit when doing back to school shopping. I know I'll be headed to Missouri that weekend to stock up and get what I need.

I know there will be lots of shoppers out that weekend getting what is needed to start the school year--especially shoppers on a budget.

There are exceptions to what you can buy, so make sure you know the official rules for Missouri and Iowa before you head to the store. Unfortunately, Illinois is not offering a Tax Free Weekend this year. But should they?
