Here's your chance in both Quincy and Hannibal to roll up your sleeve and donate blood on Tuesday, August 29th.

Quincy area social services agencies are stepping up to lend a helping hand to the nearly 300 people who were displaced by the closing of the Welcome Inn extended stay hotel earlier this week.

The American Red Cross is putting out the call for blood donors to resupply the stock that has dwindled over the summer. You can help today, Monday Aug. 17, at a blood drive in Hannibal co-sponsored by Y101 Radio. You may also find out if you've been exposed to COVID-19 because the Red Cross is now testing for antibodies.

It's the Taco 'Bout Donating Blood Drive happening at the Oakley Lindsay Center this Friday May 17th! This American Red Cross blood drive is a safe and great way to give back to your community! Now here's the great news, not only will you be donating blood which is fantastic, if you donate you get tacos!

The American Red Cross and KICK-FM are partnering together to host a Summer Blood Drive to help ensure hospital patients have the blood products they need this summer.

As the recovery from last Monday's storm continues, many will be working in extreme heat this weekend to clean up debris. Not only will the hot weather slow down the recovery process but it is also dangerous.

The need for blood is at it's highest during the winter months.

KICK-FM is sponsoring an American Red Cross blood drive outside the Quincy Mall.

Blood donations tend to dip during the winter, when many regular donors become busy with holiday activities.
