Coronavirus has really decimated the entertainment industry from bars and restaurants, to live theater and concerts, and of course the movies. While certain movie theater's have already opened up, the United States's largest movie theater company AMC is still closed due to the concern over the COVID-19 crisis.

AMC announced on their Facebook page they are once again delaying their opening of theaters nation wide. The new date for their theaters to open is July 30th. In their post they say...

"we are pushing back theatre openings to begin July 30, as part of a phased plan back to full operation by early August. The new reopening date aligns with updated release timing for major theatrical blockbusters Warner Bros’ TENET (August 12) and Disney’s MULAN (August 21)."

Well I can't say that I am surprised that they are taking even longer to open up their theaters to movie goers. Honestly I am still just so excited to know that they will be reopening at all, when there was a time not too long ago that they announced they were close to closing. They also announced on that post that they are taking extreme cleaning methods and social distancing guidelines seriously, which brings me comfort knowing I will be safe to go back to the movies whenever they reopen.
