148 pedestrians were killed in Missouri in 2024. That’s the highest number in the Show-Me state for pedestrian deaths ever, and up 16% from 2023. You need to keep your head on a swivel when crossing the street in Missouri. This is a good “look both ways” reminder from your childhood.

On the plus side, overall roadway fatalities were down from last year and down 10% from 2022. 954 lost their lives on Missouri roads last year. Yes, that’s a lot, but the numbers are trending down. Also, motorcycle rider fatalities were down 23% from last year to 133. That’s the lowest since 2020.
