Couples are always looking for a great place to have a romantic getaway during the summer, and one website ranked the top 15 romantic getaways in the Land of Lincoln, and even with the nice hotels in Chicago, a bed and breakfast took the top spot!

According to a ranking on the website thecrazytourist.com, the Harvey House Bed & Breakfast is the best place in Illinois for a romantic weekend getaway, beating out places like the luxury Langham hotel in Chicago, and the massive Hilton Chicago Indian Lakes retreat. So what about the Harvey House Bed & Breakfast makes it the top romantic getaway spot in Illinois? On the site they say...

What I really like about this list is that it is a good mixture of Chicago-esque luxury places, and quaint small town bed and breakfast type places. More often than not when you think luxury in Illinois you just assume high rises in downtown Chicago, but some of the best places in this state can be found in the small towns.
