Most People Husking Corn
If you've been and are a teenager in the Midwest husking corn is not the easiest job, but as they say, someone has to do it. Back in August of 2012 several students at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign decided to set a new world record for the most people husking corn at the same time. The previous record was 351 held in Buena Park, California, well the student blew that record away. 3,463 students husked corn at the same time to crush that old record, and it still stands today.
Most Cloves of Garlic Eaten in a Minute
WHAT! Why would anyone want to do this? Listen, I LOVE garlic in everything I make but to eat it raw and as many as I can in a minute...no thank you. From East Dundee, Illinois a man ate 36 cloves of garlic in a minute and still holds the record which was done in January 2012.
Most Claps in a Minute
Yup, there's a record for this. Don't think golf clap, think all in clapping like at the end of a play of a great play at a sporting event. For one minute Dalton Meyer of Geneseo, Illinois clapped 1,140 times in March 2022.
Tallest Man
This one is easy. Robert Wadlow from Alton, Illinois remains the tallest man to ever live. Last measured in 1940 Robert stood 8 ft. and 11.1 inches tall and still holds the title of tallest man. His shoe size was 37AA (47 cm long) his hands measured 32.4 (12.75 in.) and his arm span was 2.88 m (9 ft. 5.75 inc.) No one since Robert's death in 1940, has come close to these measurements.
