""100 Faces of War"" is an exhibition organized for travel by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service in collaboration with artist Matt Mitchell. This incredibly moving exhibit features 100 oil painted portraits of veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Accompanying the portraits are statements from the veterans ranging from lighthearted to dysphoric. Artist Matt Mitchell spent nearly ten years traveling across the country to connect with various members of all branches and ranks of service through interviews and portrait sessions."

Such a powerful and important project, and we are so lucky that it is making a stop in Quincy. I can't wait to get out to the Quincy Art Center and check this out, for more information on the event and other happenings with Arts Quincy click here!
