So you want to check out the Hoffman Mansion in Hamilton, but can’t quite scrounge together the $10,000 nightly rate on Airbnb? You’re in luck.

The owner, James Hoffman, is opening the doors to his 22,000 square foot estate to the public for one day only to raise funds for the Great Dam Foundation and Museum. On Sunday, October 23, from 10:00 am until 4:45 pm, guests can tour the mansion in all its glory.

According to the Facebook event page, “You will see fabulous art, statues, custom furniture, marble, stones and intricate wood millwork from all over the world. There is a media room with computerized motion chairs, game rooms, exercise and aerobic rooms. Every room is an amazing eye adventure.”

Tours will consist of 45 people and will run every 15 minutes. Cost per ticket is $20 and can be purchased at the Keokuk Convention and Tourism office, Carson Ford in Carthage, the Legacy Theater in Carthage, or right HERE. All patrons must be 12 years of age or older.

The Tri-States went a little crazy in June when pop megastar Justin Bieber crashed at the Hoffmans for a night when the air conditioner on his tour bus went out following a performance in Des Moines.
