It's hard to believe, but this upcoming season will be the eighth year for Music Under the Stars, the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum's free summer concert series in Hannibal.

Each Thursday evening for nine weeks, live entertainment will be featured in front of the Mark Twain Boyhood Home on Hill Street. Music Under the Stars begins its 2014 season at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 5. The popular local group Steppin' Back will play music from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Dr. G & the Mudcats, Fanfare, BIGDEAL, Up Town Strings, Ben Bumbry & the Messengers, The Lucky Old Sons and Dallas “Best Blues” winner Jason Elmore are additional acts scheduled to appear at Music Under the Stars in 2014, and these artists will represent all types of music, including rock, country, blues and jazz.

If you're planning on attending a Music Under the Stars concert, you'll want to make sure to bring your lawn chairs.

It's been great of the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum to bring this family-friendly concert series to Hannibal over the past seven years, and we hope everyone has a chance to enjoy at least one Music Under the Stars concert during the upcoming eighth season.
