Western Illinois Fair Ready to go Again in Griggsville

The 2014 edition of the Western Illinois Fair in Griggsville happens June 25 through 29.

Wednesday is D.A.R.E. night at the fair. A $10 admission will cover everything, including rides.

Thursday is the Queen and Little Miss pageant. The cost for the night is $8 without rides included, or $15 with rides. Dueling pianos will perform as well.

Friday night is family night at the fair and will feature a wildlife show in the grandstand. Admission is $10.

Saturday brings the school bus demolition derby and the modified demo derby. Admission that day is $8 without rides and $15 with rides included.

Then Sunday is the UPA Tractor and Truck Pull. Once again tickets will be $8 without rides and $15 to include them.

Shows will be happening on the midway and in the pavilion is 'Hip Bone Sam' on Friday and 'Next of Kin' on Saturday.

Pike County 4-H livestock shows will go on throughout the week.
